Create Mob

Aim

Make it easier to work with a mob of Angus Verified animals by creating a mob.

Benefits

Create a mob of Angus Verified animals so the records of treatments, traits, and joining can be updated for all the animals in the mob with just one entry instead of an individual entry for each animal.

Steps

On the homepage, click on Angus Verified

Click on Record Animals

On the Create Mobs page, under Create Mob tab, move the toggle to Mob

Select PIC number

Enter Mob Name

Enter Number of Animals

Click Next

On Mob Details page, select Sex to be either Steer, Female or Mixed

Select Birth Year

Select Sire Options:

If Single Sire: Select Sire ID

if Sire Group: Select Sire Group ID

Select Breeder PIC Number

Under Birth Range by Month, enter Start Month in mm/yyyy and End Month in mm/yyyy

Click Next

Continue to Record Mob, Sex = Steer or Female

On Record Mob page, under Record IDs, select Manual Input

For each input, enter NLIS ID and Visual Tag and click Next scanning is completed

The progress bar will display that it is full when the number of animals entered on previous page have been scanned

Click Complete

On Declaration page, review the mob summary and birth range by month

Under the Declaration, review all submission and tick each checkbox

Click Save

A “Saved” popup will display. Click Close

Continue to Record Mob, Sex = Mixed

On Record Mob page, under Record IDs, select Manual Input

For each input, enter following: - NLIS ID - Visual Tag - Sex: Steer or Female then click Next until full progress bar is full

The progress bar will display that it is full when the number of animals entered on previous page have been scanned

Click Complete

On the Declaration page, review the mob summary and the birth range by month

Under the Declaration, review all submissions and tick each checkbox

Click Save

A “Saved” popup will display. Click Close
