It will help if we are all speaking the same language. Here is a list of some terms regularly used in the Aglive Platform

AI Joining (Angus)

AI Joining (Angus) records the joining of sires (using artificial insemination methods) for the purposes of seeking Angus Verified status.

Animal Profile (Angus)

Animal profile (Angus) displays the key information held of each animal in relation to its life history and Angus Verified status.

Consignment

Consignment is a shipment of items or animals that are to be delivered to a designated delivery point or person.

Groups/Mob

Groups/Mob is a collection of animals, plants or items selected by the user as a working group. Records may be updated in a single action for the group e.g. a treatment and the updated record will take effect in the records of all animals, plants or items that are a member of that group. It is possible for an animal, plant or item to be a member of multiple groups.

Manage

Manage enables a range of records (such as weight, height, treatment and traits) to be amended in relation to a selected item, animal, group or mob.

Move

Move records the relocation of an animal, plant or item from one designated area within the user’s location to another area. Importantly both locations must be under the control of the same business user. In contrast, the transfer function should be used if the departure and destination points are operated by different business accounts.

Record Sire (Angus)

Record Sire (Angus) records the sire that are Angus Verified and subsequently the joining of those sires can be recorded for the purpose of seeking Angus Verified status.

Record Animals (Angus)

Record Animals (Angus) records the induction of an animal so records may be kept in relation to the animal and its life history including details in relation to pregnancy, joining, weight, treatments or traits.

Register

Register records the induction of an item so records may be kept in relation to the item and its history including details in relation to height, treatments or traits.

Sire Groups (Angus)

Sire Groups (Angus) records a group of sires for the purposes of seeking Angus Verified status. This can be used in circumstances where the identity of the individual sire is not required or feasible.

Site Map (Portal)

Site Map (Portal) is a designated location within a particular area of a single user's account. Items or animals may be moved from one location to another within the selected site.

Transfer

Transfer records the relocation of an animal, plant or item from one user to another user. In contrast, the move function should be used if the departure and destination points are operated by the same business user and the items or animals are merely being moved between locations operated and controlled under a single business account.

Order Tags (Angus)

Order Tags (Angus) informs Angus Australia that a user wishes to order tags from the relevant supplier and of the type of tags and the number of tags required. Angus Australia will then process the relevant order. All questions related to tag orders should be sent directly to Angus Australia at [insert email and or phone details]

Setup Business Profile

Setup Business Profile Each account is held by a single business that can then invite its employees to join the Aglive Platform and record actions under that business account. Each invited employee should set up their own user profile, but all records they enter will be stored under the business account. It is possible for the admin that establishes the business account to nominate the status of the invited user (ie. whether the user will have admin or standard user privileges).

For security and operational reasons, agents and business associates should open their own respective business accounts.

Setup User Profile

• Link Accounts records accounts e.g. agents that may be regularly selected by an individual user account. Linking an account enables that account to be swiftly selected in any future use.

• Add Locations records a location within a site map in an individual business account. Adding a location enables that location to be swiftly selected in any future use.
